THEME: appreciate the simple joys of life - in the short story you could tell that the setting was well in the future and that they had alot of electronic things around them.When you get so accustomed to things as that you forget how to care for yourself. The young child didnt want to tie his own shoe, bathe himself, or cook his own food.
QUOTES:
"Matter of fact, we're thinking of turning the whole house off for about a month. Live sort of a carefree one-for-all existence" this quote in todays society probably wouldnt make much sense unless you read the short story. to say your shutting a house off is kind of a crazy statement to say.
